VH1 seems to have a soft spot for hardcore rappers and the women they love. If you examine the focal points of hit shows such as Love and Hip Hop, Chrissy and Mr. Jones and now the latest edition, Marrying The Game, you’ll begin to notice a pattern. Viewers aren’t the only ones who are picking up on this, the reality stars have begun to notice the similarities as well. In a recent interview with VH1’s Marrying The Game star, Tiffney Cambridge sat down with Elizabeth Black for a very candid chat in which she discussed adjusting to living her life in the public eye as well as some similarities that she and The Game share with fellow VH1 stars, Chrissy Lampkin and Jim Jones. When asked how she felt about fitting into a Jim Jones-Chrissy Lampkin mold, here’s what she had to say:

I don’t like to compare myself since everyone’s situation is different, but if I had to, I would say I’m more like Chrissy, I see a similarity in our struggles and our relationships. I hear her, 100%, in every episode I watch, I see a lot of the same behaviors that Jayceon exhibits in Jim.

When you really think about it, the scenarios displayed in the two shows are oddly similar, even down to the age difference considering the fact that  the leading ladies in both Jimmy and The Game’s lives are older woman. Tiffney went on to share that Jim and The Game are actually friends and it is not uncommon for Jayceon to give Jim a call while he and Chrissy’s show is on.

He and Jim are actually friends, so it’s funny that sometimes when their episodes are on, he’ll call Jim and they’ll be on speaker going back and forth about some of the things he’s saying or doing, and it’s funny how all of them think alike, they really do. Jayceon and Jimmy think alike about how they both feel about Chrissy and I, about their business, about making money, about spending time with family, about their attitudes, so I do see a lot of similarities between our two shows.

What I would love to see is a Chrissy and Jimmy cameo on Marrying The Game or vice versa. Something tells me that seeing the foursome interact would be quite entertaining.

Did you watch last night’s premiere of Marrying The Game? What do you think of the show?
