(Chicago Tribune) — A City of Chicago Fleet Management employee was fired for stealing auto parts from a city facility and selling them to a recycling company, City Hall’s watchdog office said Thursday in its latest quarterly report.

Inspector General Joseph Ferguson outlined the auto parts firing and a dozen other cases in which city workers were recently disciplined for violating rules, as well as disciplinary action the city took against workers in older cases.
