(Atlanta Business Chronicle) — Atlanta’s restaurants are gradually recovering from the Great Recession.  Sales in May were up 3.7 percent over May 2009, said Bob Wagner, president of NetFinancials Inc., which provides tax and accounting services to restaurants. Wagner surveyed 62 restaurant operators, many his clients, and compiled sales data for a quarterly report, released June 29. “We’re seeing a reluctant recovery from a terrible recession,” he said.  Sales in May were a slight improvement over Wagner’s findings in February, when total restaurant sales increased just 1.3 percent from sales in February 2009.
