Bentonite Clay Detox Mask

While you may not have Bentonite clay lying around, you can easily obtain it at a Vitamin Shoppe or other similar local health stores.

What you’ll need…

Bentonite Clay

2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar

The essential oil of your choice

Create a soft mixture using the Bentonite clay apple cider vinegar (if you have sensitive skin, you may want to substitute 2 tablespoons of sour cream for the vinegar) and rub onto skin. Let it dry completely. While it is drying, it is normal to feel a pulsating sensation—no worries, that’s just the mask blast pulling those pesky toxins and dirt from your skin. Rinse your skin clean using a warm rag; you’ll notice that your skin appears red—apply Grapeseed or sweet almond oil, which ever you prefer, and let your skin rest. As it clears you’ll notice skin appears almost instantly brighter.

The purpose of a clay mask is to help diminish blemishes and clear impurities from the skin, so it’s ideal for those who are acne prone. It draws excess oils and debris to the surface of your skin, boosts circulation to tighten the skin and stimulate blood flow, and it whisks away dead skin cells that can clog pores.
