Hair Recipes: Using Products In Your Kitchen
Stronger, Longer Hair Challenge
Have you ever concocted a hair care recipe yourself?
Gather all of the ingredients in your kitchen that are great for your hair!! You would be surprised what you have in your cabinets or refrigerator that make great hair products. Typically a lot of ladies have dry hair so here are some recipes that you can hook up in your kitchen:
Avocado Hair Mask:
1 ripe Avocado – they are rich in natural oils
1 tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil – helps tame and moisturize hair
1 egg (the yolk only)- help strengthen hair
Combine ingredients and blend ingredients until smooth in a blender or a mixer. Coat all of your hair with the mixture and rinse after 20 minutes. If you have time, put a shower cap on and leave it on for awhile.
Honey & Olive Oil Treatment:
½ Cup of Honey- A humectant that helps hold in moisture
¼ cup of olive oil
Mix the two ingredients and warm it up for about 15 seconds. Apply it on your hair and leave it on to penetrate your hair for about 20 minutes.
1 cup of mayonnaise (or more or less depending on your hair length)
1 lemon- fights dandruff and promotes hair growth
*Hint- Add some oils if you don’t like the smell of mayonnaise
Squeeze one lemon into the mayonnaise (and optional oil) and mix it up well. Coat your hair with your new conditioner and wrap a warm towel on your head. Rinse it out after 30 minutes.
All of these recipes should create stronger, shiny, moisturized hair!
