There are so many cool and innovative ways to curl your hair without using heat (or even rollers for that matter). Let’s take a look at some cool things around the house you can curl your hair with!

Pipe Cleaners. Yes, with pipe cleaners you can curl your hair or locks around them to create smaller, tight curls. You use them just like a flexirod. When you roll them to the base, you bend over the ends to secure them.

Paper Bags! When you go to the grocery store, don’t throw the bags away. Recycle! Cut strips of the paper bags and use them as rollers. Take vertical piece and cross it over at the end of the hair. From there, slightly roll your hair like you would a regular roller. When you get to the top, tie the two ends of the paper bag.

Straw set!! Well, depending on how much hair you have, you may not have enough straws sitting around the house! You can use drinking straws to make perfect tight ringlets. If your hair is shorter, you can cut the straws in half and use both sides. If you have long hair, don’t cut the straw. Wrap small sections around each straw and use a bobby pin up the bottom of the straw to secure it!

No matter which method you chose to set your hair, be sure to finish your look with a light sheen such as Optimum Care Salon Collection Heat Protector, and Mineral Oil Free Sheen Spray. This will give your tresses a nice shine and protection from the elements.

What innovative ways have you used to curl your hair sans heat?
