And if one of you is subordinate to the other, then I would definitely advise the “senior” person to start looking elsewhere to avoid a potential sexual harassment lawsuit – quickly! People do strange things when they’re hurt or angry, so get out of there fast if you sense there will be some repercussions to breaking up with your cubicle cut buddy. No office nooky is worth a your job…or a lawsuit.
