Don’t Slack Off
When our heart has been broken, it’s hard enough getting out of bed some days, let alone performing at work. Whatever you do though, don’t just sit in your office staring at pictures of you and your ex in happier days (or stalking his Facebook page) wishing the pain would go away. And don’t NOT show up at work for fear of facing him. If you have to, it’s okay to take off a day or two to get your mind, right. But if you have a position that requires you to be a super star, channel that anger, pain, angst, or whatever energy you’re feeling into work and continue to be wonderful. The pain will subside and sometimes delving into your work can help speed that along.
