The saga of backroom body-enhancing procedures continues, this time with a Texas salon owner who was giving breast augmenting injections inside her Queen Divas Hair Salon and Spa in Houston.
Police issued two warrants for Carmel Foster’s arrest after Sheena Bradford, 26, a woman she injected with a chemical substance that she claimed would make her breasts larger was rushed to the hospital and nearly died shortly after. According to Houston Police Officer David Martin, “Her chest was swollen and she was complaining of a lot of pain. They admitted her and she went into critical condition.” The second warrant is for a similar procedure carried out on the cousin of the current victim, 27-year-old Kenya Sheppard, two weeks prior.
A former employee of Foster’s said the salon owner could have been injecting these substances for as long as two years, telling CBS 19:
“She said she wanted to do the booty and the breast shots because that’s what’s hot. I never had the concern to ask who is going to do them. I thought she was going to have someone do them.”
Although Foster hasn’t yet been arrested, her bond has already been set at $200,000. Sheena Bradford has been released from the hospital but it’s too soon to tell whether the damage from the injections will be long-term or not.
I really hope this is the last of stories like this. Girls who want bigger breasts better head to Victoria Secret, purchase a Miraculous push up bra, and keep it moving. The health risks of these bootleg procedures just aren’t worth it.
Have you heard of anything like this going on in salons in your area?
