Putting on a facade
Sometimes, our twenties are filled with pressure to keep up appearances. We’re more inclined to remain in unhealthy situations — jobs, friendships, and relationships alike — because we don’t want to deal with whatever fallout may come as a result of walking away. As a result, we stay when we know that we should leave to maintain a pretty picture for public consumption.
