Being swayed by others’ preferences
Peer pressure is real and it doesn’t simply disappear after high school. As women, it’s not uncommon for us to allow the preferences of our friends, mothers, sisters, and cousins to influence the people we date. While it’s smart to consider the input of the people who love us, we ultimately have to make those important decisions for ourselves.
