Whole Foods’ model is especially disappointing being that the grocery store chain was purchased by Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, who has a reported total net worth of $105 billion.

  • Company presently does not offer paid sick leave for certain hourly employees.
  • The company reportedly accessed an outdated model which asks employees to donate their sick time to other employees company wide.
  • For employees who are infected with COVID-19, Whole Foods will offer two weeks of paid time off.
  • Announced in a recent company statement that they will add and additional $2 to employee’s paychecks through the month of April.
