Making a food budget

Make a strict food budget. Really strict. See if you can get away with spending just $75 a week on food. You’ll rapidly realize how much eating just one meal out consumes 20 percent of your week’s food budget, like that! You don’t have to stick to such a strict budget forever but it can be useful to see how far that money goes at the grocery store versus at restaurants.
