Bishop Eddie Long’s Wife Files For Divorce, Then Takes it Back?
I think the Bishop Eddie Long goons have gotten to his wife, Vanessa, because within hours of announcing she filed for divorce from her husband this morning, she took it back.
Here’s what her first statement to the press said:
“After a great deal of deliberation and prayer, I have decided to terminate my marriage to Bishop Eddie L. Long. Accordingly, I authorized my attorneys to file for divorce on December 1, 2011.
“It is my sincere hope that this matter can be resolved expeditiously, harmoniously and fairly. I ask that you respect my privacy and that of my family, as my attorneys and I have agreed that we will not try this case in the media, and I do not intend to make any further statements concerning this matter.”
Then after more deliberation and prayer she said in an email statement this afternoon:
“Upon prayerful reflection, I have reconsidered and plan to withdraw my petition for divorce from my husband, Bishop Eddie L. Long. I love my husband. I believe in him and admire his strength and courage.”
She went on to say she blames “years of attacks in the media” for her initial decision to seek a divorce. So what exactly happened between 9am and 1pm that changed your mind?
This whole situation is just as suspect as the lawsuits Eddie Long settled with the four men who accused him of coercing them into sex.
What do you think is the real deal on her change of heart?
