While plenty of people have let Apryl Jones and Fizz know they’re not fans of their decision to go from friends to lovers, from everyday individuals to celebrities, they are actually receiving support from some.
The new couple received some unexpected encouragement from Torrei Hart of all people. The 41-year-old comedian, who is the ex-wife of fellow comedian Kevin, shared kind words among a flurry of negative comments for a photo of the pair living their life, and as Jones said, not giving a f–k.
“Glad you are happy,” she commented. “No one but you two know what truly happened behind closed doors.”
Jones was appreciative of the kind words, telling Hart, “I love you for that! That’s so true the rest is perception.”
Jones was likely super appreciative of the support because that same photo garnered a less than positive reaction from rapper Meek Mill. The 32-year-old MC told her that “Y’all outta pocket for this move” with a laughing emoji, followed by “No disrespect.”
She responded by reminding him that despite his own past close proximity to Omarion (Meek and O were both once a part of Rick Ross’s Maybach Music Group at the same time), the rapper tried to shoot his shot with her.
“No disrespect. But you tried to talk to me,” she replied. “And that’s not out of pocket….?”
As I said before though, not everyone is giving Jones and her beau a hard time. On the most recent episode of Love and Hip Hop Hollywood, the couple celebrated their new home together with friends who were not here for the disrespect they were dealing with and were aware of what she says she really went through with Omarion.
She told Nick Cannon on his morning show recently that she’s not letting people get her down though, because she knows what she went through with her children’s father and what she had to do to get over that relationship. She wishes him well, even if he, by chance, wouldn’t wish the same for her. Oh, and she claims she’s not bitter and dating his band mate because of any animosity.
“I let Omari go. It took me a year and a half to get through that relationship. It was the hardest breakup of my life, but I left it where it was at,” she said. “I went through that healing. I left it where it was at. I don’t feel no way. I don’t want to wish bad on him because he is, at the end of the day, the father to my kids. I want nothing but the best for him. I want him to succeed in life, I want him to find another woman that’s gonna love him, and that’s gonna be great for my children. And I would wish that for him. Unfortunately sometimes when you get in a new situation, or you’re flourishing in your life, sometimes men can’t handle that.”
