Everything came to a halt when Kevin Hart was seriously injured in a car crash in September. Besides having back surgeries, he has to also undergo physical therapy. While he is out of commission right now, he plans to be back on a movie set in the next few months.
Hart’s attorney, Andrew Brettler, told Entertainment Weekly that he plans to start working again in 2020.
“While he’s doing a little work here and there for the film, he doesn’t expect to be fully back to work until the new year,” Brettler said.
On September 1st, Hart’s friend, Jared Black, was driving when Hart’s 1970 Plymouth muscle car veered off of the Mullholland Highway in Malibu, CA. It was later found that the vintage whip was missing key safety features like a five-point harness and a roll cage. The company that customized the car, SpeedKore, has not commented about the horrific accident or missing features. Hart gifted himself with that car for his 40th birthday back in July.
Black also reportedly suffered back injuries. Hart’s other friend, Rebecca Broxterman, was in the back seat and only had minor injuries.
“I have nothing but love for Jared and wish him and Rebecca a speedy recovery,” Hart also said in his statement via his attorney.
