#ALittleBitPregnant: Danielle Brooks Is Returning To Netflix With New Series Following Her Pregnancy
If you thought Danielle Brooks was going to go on maternity leave following the end of Orange Is the New Black to prepare for the upcoming birth of her first child, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to know that she and her unborn baby will be leading a new Netflix series about pregnancy.
The 30-year-old announced via social media that she will be hosting Netflix Family’s new YouTube series, A Little Bit Pregnant. The four-part series, which will have eight to 10-minute episodes each according to PEOPLE, will not only follow Danielle throughout her pregnancy, but will also inform other mothers-to-be about what they can expect on this new journey. She’ll be speaking with doulas, midwives, current moms and other experts to understand healthy food habits during pregnancy, how to know when you’re in labor, as well as all things motherhood and the questions Danielle has as she approaches this new experience. The show will also attempt to debunk misconceptions about pregnancy and the period after you give birth. In addition, there will be an episode for dads-to-be as well.
To preview the series, we get a peek at Danielle’s very lit baby shower, where the star revealed she’s having a girl among friends and family.
Danielle is ecstatic about helping to create more unique content for Netflix.
“So glad to be back with my @netflixfamily for my new social series called #ALittleBitPregnant where we explore all things MOTHERHOOD!!” she wrote on Twitter. “Let’s goo!!”
Premiering in November, the series will show on Netflix’s YouTube channel, and also on the streaming service’s different social media channels.
Danielle originally announced that she was expecting her first child with her longtime boyfriend in July as the final season of OITNB premiered. She showed off the “Positive” outcome of her ClearBlue pregnancy test.
“When one chapter ends, another begins,” she wrote. “Super excited to share with you my new beginning. I’M PREGNANT. Counting my blessings,”
The star should be due to give birth in November, which coincides with the show’s premiere.
