Venus Williams Invests In In-Home Massage Company, Zeel
Venus Williams is busying herself with new new business ventures when she isn’t swinging her racket. According to WWD, the tennis great has just invested in Zeel, a therapeutic massage company that sends massage therapists to your door whenever you want.
Williams is now a shareholder, a member of their board of directors and a key advisor to their new branch, Zeel@Sports, which will focus on partnerships with trainers, coaches, camps and college and professional leagues.
“For more than a decade, I’ve been combining my competitive and entrepreneurial spirit into building my two companies and strategically aligning with exciting, global businesses and brands,” said Williams in a press release. “Zeel is an innovative and transformative company that fits seamlessly with my lifestyle as a professional athlete, and I’m eager to bring my passion for health and well-being and for growing businesses to the boardroom of a company redefining Americans’ access to wellness.”
With her interest in wellness and entrepreneurial spirit, the Compton native will surely be an asset to the company. She has already launched her own interior design company V Starr Interiors and has her own activewear clothing line, EleVen. Williams also has a history of investing in wellness and recently partnered with self-care company Asutra.
“Venus brings an elevated understanding of modern health and fitness that recognizes the vital role of muscle recovery in physical, mental, and emotional well-being,” founder and CEO of Zeel Samer Hamadeh said in a statement. “Together with her career achievements and business acumen, that understanding makes Venus an ideal partner for Zeel, and we are thrilled to welcome her to our dynamic team.”
