Entire Chicago School Board to Be Replaced

(Chicago Sun Times) — The entire Chicago Public Schools Board will be replaced and led by a former aide to U.S. Education secretary Arne Duncan when he headed the city’s schools, Mayor-elect Rahm Emanuel announced Monday morning.  David Vitale, who served as chief administrative officer of CPS under Duncan’s leadership and was previously the CEO of the Chicago Board of Trade, will be the new board president once Emanuel is inaugurated May 16, the mayor-elect said.
