Two Arrested in Murder of DJ Megatron
(Wall Street Journal) — Two men were arrested and charged Wednesday in the murder of hip-hop disc jockey Corey McGriff, who was known by the stage moniker DJ Megatron, authorities said. William Williams, 21 years old, and Richard Cromwell, 20, are accused of robbing McGriff before shooting him once in the torso last month, a law enforcement official with knowledge of the case said. The shooting occurred a few doors down from where McGriff, 32, lived on Staten Island. Williams was the alleged shooter, but both men have been charged with murder, robbery and criminal possession of a weapon and were awaiting arraignment late Wednesday, the official said.
