Marsai Martin has had quite the busy weekend. From appearances at Beautycon LA 2019 to the Teen Choice Awards. So much so that she didn’t even have time to walk the red carpet! Martin is very open about her love of makeup. You can catch her playing with palettes on IG stories and video as well as trying out different makeup looks for her various events. Her makeup for the Teen Choice Awards was a striking silvery eye that was a perfect ‘grown but not too grown’ look! We’re so here for it.

We caught up with celebrity makeup artist Shannon Pezzetta who created an affordable slay on Martin. She revealed, “To create the perfect canvas I used a light touch of D50 TruBlend Matte Made Foundation ($8.42,” For teenagers and pre-teens, using foundation lightly is okay. Remember, they have an entire lifetime to have their pores clogged. You can even go sans foundation and achieve the look!

Our skin is never just one shade and Pezzetta used concealer to help bring dimension to the face. She explained, “I brightened the center of her face using the TruBlend Undercover Concealer in D150 Warm Tawny ($7.94, by applying 3 small dots in a triangle shape under her eyes and using a small fluffy brush to blend down and up on the cheekbone.”

I loved the silvery eye for Martin. She used the Exhibitionist Liquid Glitter Eye Shadow in Moonlight ($13.49, Over her subtle cateye, she followed with the glitter eye shadow for a fresh look. She then finished with Lash Blast Volume Mascara in Very Black ($4.96,
