The Only Business We Have Is Getting A Divorce Finalized: Wendy Williams Addresses Rumors About Working With Kevin Hunter
These days, all eyes are on Ms. Wendy. When the lady who covers mess finds herself in the middle of a pretty big one, the people have questions. And in the absence of answers the people will create their own narrative. For the past few days, outlets have been reporting that Williams re-hired her estranged husband, Kevin Hunter as her manager. Then, there were other reports that Williams’ show was ending after its eleventh season.
Recently, Williams appeared on Fox 5’s “Good Day New York” to address all of the claims.
On whether or not she would want to get married again.
I was having a three-way conversation with my mother and sister, who are both married, and I was like, ‘Ya know it’s really fun out here, dating and getting to know new people. But there’s so many questions like, ‘When do you take your wig off?’
Quick on the uptick, one of the anchors reminded Wendy that she took it off the other night. She was referring to this Instagram picture which featured Wendy’s wig with a pair of sneakers that many presumed belonged to a man. But that wasn’t the case.
“Well, I was alone. I was alone.”
Whether or not Kevin Hunter is going to be managing her career again.
Right now, the only business, I repeat, the only business that me and Mr. Hunter are involved with is getting a divorce finalized. It also said that after season 11 my show is canceled it also said that I’m going to move the show to LA. Nope, nope, nope. Do I look unemployed?
How her friendships changed in light of her deciding to leave her marriage.
I’ve made new friends and of course kicked to the curb a lot of old friends who see something, say something. Oh really? Okay bye.
Were there friends who could have told her what was going on?
There’s nobody that could tell me the real story. I know what went on.
The nature of her relationship with Hunter.
Big and I will always be friends. I need a divorce yesterday. Now. I’ve moved on. Hmph.
Whether Kevin is making the divorce hard.
That’s our business but if I say I need a divorce yesterday, then what do you think?
How her son is doing.
He’s doing great. He’s rolling with it. He has his own life though. And at 18, you’re very selfish. He’s going into his sophomore year of college.
Her outlook on relationships
I’m very much a wife and not a girlfriend. This finger feels very empty and my mother and sister agreed. I hate when people say, you need to take a year off and find yourself. I’ve been found. And I don’t want people to feel sorry for me in that way, patting my head, ‘Are you okay?’ No. Are you okay? I’m very well taken care of by all the people around me.
Her message to women
The thing I can say to women. Men, fine. The world is built for you. I’m talking to the women. If you need change in your life, be brave. If you don’t feel like you’re brave, then tuck it under your wig and figure it out. And then once you figure it out, own it. Do not be scared. Do not be fearful. Own it.
