Bottler Lands Deal with 4th Largest Brewer

(Tri State Defender) — Hardy Bottling Company – the largest minority, woman-owned contract packaging facility in Tennessee – is selling its manufacturing facility to a La Crosse, Wisc., brewery, Hardy’s CEO, Carolyn Hardy, said on Tuesday.  Hardy was not immediately available for interviews. In a statement released to theTri-State Defender, Hardy said Chism Hardy Enterprises, LLC (a/k/a Hardy Bottling Company), and George Parke, President and CEO of City Brewing Company, had signed an Asset Purchase Agreement for the sale of the Memphis brewery to City Brewing Company.  “This transaction will provide this great facility with its modern brewery the opportunity it deserves to utilize its great capacity and ability to brew a wide variety of beers and malt beverages,” said Hardy, who founded Harding Bottling Company. “I believe it will fulfill my dream to return it to its highest and best use, which is brewing great beers.”
