Cynthia Bailey Thanks Steve Harvey For Introducing Her To Mike Hill After They Announce Engagement
Over the weekend, it was announced that Cynthia Bailey and her boyfriend Mike Hill were engaged after he popped the question on Friday at the opening of her new place, The Bailey WineCellar in Atlanta. Bailey’s daughter, Noelle, and Hill’s daughters Kayla and Ashlee helped him with the proposal, as the 48-year-old put a 5-carat princess cut solitaire on his 52-year-old bride-to-be’s hand.
Now that Bailey has had some time to celebrate her engagement with Hill and her family, she’s speaking out about it, gushing on Instagram about the importance of waiting on God and knowing that love can show up when you least expect it. She also thanked friend Steve Harvey for helping her meet and inevitably fall in love with her new fiancé.
“Never give up on love. we are all deserving of the best feeling in the 🌎,” she wrote. “Trust God & go with your heart. God’s plan, God’s will & God’s speed, not yours. always believe. never stop. never settle. be happy. and grateful. love can show up when you least expect it & in the unlikeliest of places. thank u my friend @iamsteveharveytv. and when it happens, don’t walk, run toward it. and enjoy. life is too short.”
Bailey was previously married to Peter Thomas from 2010 to 2017. She also was in a serious relationship with actor Leon Robinson, whom she has daughter Noelle with. Lastly, Bailey was proposed to by former and troubled NBA star Jayson Williams in 1996, but she rejected the proposal. Smart move.

Bailey met Hill when she was a guest on the now-defunct Steve Harvey Show. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star took part in a segment last year to help her choose a possible match from three eligible bachelors. Hill, a Fox Sports 1 sportscaster who resides in LA, wasn’t who Bailey originally had in mind to choose, according to Harvey.
“Cynthia Bailey was going to pick somebody else,” he said about her matchmaking segment. “I told her, ‘You’re not picking that guy. You’re going to pick this guy.'”
“‘Well Steve, he lives in Atlanta, he’s an attorney’ — I don’t care nothing about that,'” he added. “I talked her into it, they started dating. So now it’s pretty serious. They’re exclusive and so she’s found somebody that she’s crazy about.”
Not only is Bailey crazy about Hill, but now she’s set to marry him. Guess that Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man advice works pretty well sometimes!
