Ne-Yo already has an established résumé as a singer, songwriter and actor with his latest appearance in the sci-fi flick, “Battle: Los Angeles.” Now, he has once again cemented another addition to his résumé with the recent news of his inking a deal with Turner Broadcasting’s Cartoon Network to produce his own animated series.
The show, currently titled “I Heart Tuesday,” was created for younger his sister and is about “a 16-year-old girl that inherits the curse of her bloodline and [is] forced to save the world from the unknown evil every Tuesday for the rest of her life,” he told the Associated Press. The show is expected to begin production soon.
But that’s not all. Ne-Yo is also attempting to diverse his portfolio in the hopes of launching his own line of headwear. Other than his songwriting, Ne-Yo is known for his trademark trilby or cap, which he has said became a necessity to his wardrobe dating back to high school when he was bullied for his thinning hair. “I’ve been talking to some people about doing a hat line, in that the hat is what I’m most known for,” he told MTV Style in August of last year. “Weird, right? The hat is more popular than the music.”
