Off the court, it’s always a win with Serena Williams. Sports Illustrated Fashionable Fifty Issue features Alexis Olympia’s mother posing strongly on the cover. The tennis star wore a white Wolford body suit and paired over an all white checkered Thom Browne jacket. Hot!
The cover was styled by Jason Bolden, who posted the cover to his Instagram with the caption, “How Serena Does a Tuxedo.” We see you! The green neon heels were fire and compliments of the Christian Cowan x Guiseppe Sanotti F/W 2019 collection. We love how the shoes just make the whole cover pop!
She was photographed by Jeffery Salter in this strong power pose. The column she’s placing her foot upon makes it seem not only like she is here to stay, but also representing her as a statuesque figure.
Her makeup was done by Pauline Briscoe. She got her dewy skin by using Skin Doctor to prep her skin. I love the Skin Doctors brand. They make ampoules that are great for brightening and injecting moisture, antioxidants and other good things into your skin for a boost. Briscoe used NARS Cosmetics Sheer Glow Foundation in Macao ($47.00, sephora.com) and NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation in New Orleans ($49.00, sephora.com). Get these cover girl lashes from Lilly Lashes in Mykonos ($30.00, lillylashes.com). I also loved her melanin glow, which is perfect as is, but got some extra dazzle via HIGlow High Intensity Light Shimmer ($11.24, higlowofficial.uk.com).
Her hair was done by Lorraine Dublin, who works with the beauty on a consistent basis. I love that the makeup artist, hairstylist, and stylist were all black! Yes for employing us behind the scenes.
