Guess Who’s Coming To “Dear White People”?
It’s been a minute, since we’ve checked on the students at Winchester. But recently, Netflix announced that “Dear White People,” was returning to the streaming platform on August 2.
And according to The Hollywood Reporter, there are some new, yet familiar faces coming to the show. In a little teaser trailer for the upcoming season, we see that Blair Underwood, Yvette Nicole Brown, Laverne Cox and even Flavor Flav will star in season 3.
Also, the creator of the series Justin Simien will step in front of the camera for the first time.
Details about the roles have yet to be released. As we know, it’s Cox’s second time working with Netflix after appearing in the Emmy-winning show “Orange Is The New Black.”
It’s Blair Underwood’s third project with Netflix. He appeared in the Emmy-nominated “When They See Us” and alongside Alfre Woodard in Juanita.
Yvette Nicole Brown, best known for her role in “Community,” and who will play Aunt Sarah in the upcoming live-action Lady and the Tramp. She will also appear in an Indie film she wrote called Always a Bridesmaid.
Season 2 of “Dear White People,” ended with the man character Sam (Logan Browning) and Lionel (DeRon Horton) being chosen to participate in a secret enigmatic Order of X at Winchester.
We’ll see what happens.
