Not Everyone Is Here For The “Making The Band” Reboot
Last week, Diddy was taunting the people asking us if we were ready for him to bring back “Making The Band.” It was a loaded question, really. Bring it back how? Re-air some of the old episodes from days gone by? Honestly, the thought that he would put together an entirely new band, knowing how things turned out with the first three, it doesn’t seem like the best idea.
But earlier today, Diddy announced that he and MTV were bringing that old thing back.
Personally, I’d much rather watch the old episodes—filled in with interviews, footage and confessionals about what the group members are doing these days. They can even have them react to their old scenes. The thought that Diddy would make another group just to drop them years after they’re formed doesn’t seem that great to me.
If I were a part of the other bands Diddy put together, I would more than a little bit salty to know he was attempting to do something again, knowing that he didn’t really finish what he started when it came to my career.
Still, we can’t deny that the exposure that comes from a reality show has the power to change someone’s life. So it could all work out for the good.
With the show being such a staple in our lives, people had a lot to say about it.
