Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Give A First Glimpse Of Newborn Baby Capri On The ‘Gram
Vanessa and Kobe Bryant are still in the throes of baby bliss after welcoming their newest daughter, Capri Kobe Bryant, on June 20.
The NBA All-Star showed off their baby who has been affectionately dubbed “KoKo” swaddled in a pink blanket with a matching bow.
“Our little princess Capri KobeBryant “KoKo” 6/20/19,” he wrote. Capri’s name follows family tradition of Italian namesakes, a tribute to Kobe’s years of growing up overseas as his father played professionally in Italy for eight years. Kobe is also fluent in Italian.
Baby KoKo is the couple’s fourth daughter following Natalia, 16, Gianna, 13, and Bianka, 2. Bryant, 40, and his wife Vanessa, 37, have been married since 2001, after tying the knot in a secret surprise ceremony.
Bryant announced the baby’s arrival one day after her arrival, posting her name and date of birth.
“We are beyond excited that or baby girl “KoKo” has arrived!!! #bryantbunch #4princesses #blessed,” he wrote. Bryant formally announced Vanessa’s fourth pregnancy on New Year’s Day 2019.
The former Laker said he’s oftentimes teased by his friends for being the lone man in his household.
“My friends say, ‘It takes a real man to make a boy,’ ” he said in an interview with Extra. “I’m like, ‘Dude, it takes a king to make a princess … get in line.’”
“It’s pretty cool for me ’cause its Daddy’s little princesses,” he continued..
As to whether or not they’ll try again for baby #5, Bryant says he will leave that call up to Vanessa.
