If you’re headed to Essence Fest this weekend, which we’re sure you are, make sure you leave room in your schedule for a pop-up shopping experience from a bomb beauty collective that includes all of our favorite brands.

On Friday, July 5, from 1:30 pm to 6 pm Urban Skin Rx, The Lip Bar, Mielle Organics, EDEN Body Works, and Cee Cee’s Closet NYC — comprehensively known as the Beauty Collective — are hosting a private brunch and public Sip & Shop experience all in the spirit of one of our favorite characters, Nola Darling. And MadameNoire and HelloBeautiful will be on site for both, capturing all of the fun and festivities.

The idea for the Beauty Collective came about after Rachel Roff, Founder of Urban Skin Rx, Melissa Butler, Founder of The Lip Bar, and Monique Rodriguez Founder of Mielle Organics, found themselves on a popular speaking tour this past spring. After seeing the large turnout at each event, the ladies decided EssenceFest would be the perfect event to host a themed experience highlighting multicultural brands. And given EDEN Body Works and Cee Cee’s Closet NYC‘s success, including those companies was a no-brainer — much like the Nola Darling theme.

“Nola Darling from She’s Gotta Have It embodies the woman we cater to,” Urban Skin Rx Marketing Brand Manager Lissie Shaver shared. “She’s caring, driven, and 100 percent unapologetically herself. We thought it would be a fun theme and play on words since the event is taking place in NOLA.”

Beyond the opportunity to sip cocktails and shop each of the Beauty Collective brand’s products at a discounted rate, guests will be able to have their fortune’s told by a tarot card reader and a live painter will be on site, tapping into Nola Darling’s artistic and spiritual sides. Headwrap tutorials will also bless the heads of everyone in attendance.

At the brunch, which is geared toward influencers, attendees will have the opportunity to reflect on what they “gotta have” for their lives in the upcoming year and set intentions for their professional and personal lives. And if it isn’t already a given, there will be amazing goody bags and free products galore — but only while supplies last so we suggest you get their early.

Though the Sip & Shop is free, guests must RSVP to attend. Click here to register and stay glued to MadameNoire and HelloBeautiful‘s Instagram accounts for live coverage of the festivities.
