Illinois AG Raised Nearly $1 Billion in Revenue

(AP) — Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan’s office says it raised nearly $1 billion in state revenue last year through a variety of litigation and the collection of estate-tax revenues.  Madigan’s office says in a statement that of more than $922 million generated for the state, $236 million came from collecting estate-tax revenues. Tobacco litigation raised another $284 million.
