“Pose” Star Indya Moore Clashes With Trump Supporter Outside Of Studio
Actor Indya Moore got into a physical confrontation with a Trump supporter on Monday right outside of a filming studio in New York City on Monday where the show is currently in production, according to LGBTQ Nation.
The confrontation which was captured on video begins with Moore who can be seen stepping on a red “Re-Elect Trump” sign. “Call the police,” she says answering a woman near the camera who can be heard arguing that the sign is private property.
All of a sudden Moore, who was in the frame solo, is shoved to the side as the perceived owner of the sign grabs the sign out of her reach and then pushes her forward. TMZ has identified the man as Dion Cini. The incident was posted to his Facebook page.
A man in a plaid shirt tries to intervene as Cini lunges towards Moore multiple times. Get off my stuff!” and “Get the f–k out of here!” the man can be heard yelling.
He’s able to make contact with Moore and the others who step in to calm things down several times before two NYPD officers appear to de-escalate the situation.
Moore continues to reach for the sign and also reaches for Cini’s MAGA visor. He thwarts their attempt and violently pushes them again.

Officers seem to finally quell the situation, although the mental and emotional damage is done.
Moore, who is a trans actor, catapulted to fame last year during the show’s first season as the breakout star Angel Evangelista. The show’s second season is slated to air on June 11 on FX.
Moore has also openly shared their experience of finding self-love and acceptance in a world which still refuses to see them in their full humanity. Moore’s reaction to the MAGA sign comes during Pride Month, a yearly celebration marking the anniversary of the Stonewall Riots. This year marks 50 years since the riots where LGBTQ community members were violently targeted in New York City’s Greenwich Village neighborhood.
MAGA supporters have descended upon Moore’s most recent Twitter status, warning her of touching personal property.
“You have no effin business taking that guy’s sign. He has right to believe in whatever he wants just like you have a right to as well! What don’t you understand? You are doing exactly what you don’t want to happen to your community! Hypocrite!” one Twitter user wrote.
According to TMZ, Cini has filed a larceny report against Moore, claiming they damaged his sign which cost him $250.
