Rihanna Is In Love, But When It Comes To Marriage, She’s Going With The Flow: “We Plan And God Laughs, Right?”
Beauty and music mogul Rihanna is officially living her best life. The Barbadian star was just named one of the world’s richest women and music, and now the 31-year-old is investing not just in her businesses, but in her love life.
For the cover story for Interview Magazine, Riri spoke to her “Ocean’s 8” co-star Sarah Paulson about her current boyfriend, billionaire Hassan Jameel and their future plans.
“Who are you dating?” Paulson asked. “Google it,” Rihanna quipped back.
The island beauty revealed she was in love, but when the subject of marriage came up, she revealed she was going with the flow.
“Only god knows that, girl,” Fenty said of her nuptial plans.
“We plan and god laughs, right?”
Speaking of God, Rihanna spoke candidly about her deep faith in God throughout the interview. When she was asked if she ever questioned God, she confidently said, no.
“Not my faith, but I have been in a place where I felt like maybe I had disappointed god so much that we weren’t as close. Actually, that happened to me while I was making Anti. That was a really hard time, but, thank god, I got through it,” she described.
She also explained the heartbreaking moment her devotional, with handwritten notes from her late Grandmother, was stolen from a plane. But even that experience she transformed into a blessing for someone else.
“My grandmother was the one who started me on this. She gave me a devotion book, a physical one. It was the last thing she gave me before she passed away. It got left on a plane and stolen, so I just said, “You know what? Somebody else is going to gain from that.” And then I bought the same book on my iPhone. The only sad part was that her handwriting was in it, but someone is going to be blessed with it, so it’s fine.”
