Beauty is big business and whether you’re an everyday customer shopping at a beauty counter or a major corporation looking to find out the latest trends in beauty, there are certain names you should know. Here’ we’ve assembled a sampling of the top people and brands in the business of beauty – from someone who performs magic with a tweezer to a model turned mogul, they all carved their own paths in this tough, yet thriving industry.

Damone Roberts: The Eyebrow King

Considered one of the top beauty artist in the business, Roberts’ talent for painting faces and sculpting the perfect arch has graced some of the world’s most beautiful and famous people including Madonna, Beyonce, Gwyneth Paltrow, Megan Fox, Vanessa Williams, Mandy Moore, Alicia Keys and Robert Downey Jr.

He doesn’t just pluck and groom eyebrows, Roberts considers himself a “beauty therapist.” Damone’s philosophy is that each person exudes their individual beauty and “every face deserves the perfect frame”. However, that beauty cannot be accomplished without the necessary tools. In 2002, Roberts created his flagship salon, Damone Roberts Beverly Hills. In 2008 Damone Roberts New York opened in Manhattan. In 2009, he formed an alliance with OPI to place a Damone Roberts Brow Station in OPI’s Salon in Studio City, CA.
