Season 9 of Married at First Sight is set to premiere in a few weeks, and unlike our new couples, who are meeting for the very first time at the altar and know nothing about one another, we’re getting a peek at what we can expect before we jump in and commit to another full season.

Us Weekly got their hands on an exclusive trailer featuring the new participants in Charlotte. They’re not the only thing new this season though, as we have a brand new expert who is being introduced. Dr. Viviana Coles is taking over for Dr. Jessica Griffin, who left at the end of Season 8 after revealing she was in a relationship with Season 6 participant Jon Francetic. They are now engaged (Take that Molly!).

As for our new couples, there are four again, two who in repeat fashion, are Black: Iris Caldwell and Keith Manley, as well as Deonna McNeill and Gregory Okotie.

Iris, who is a virgin, goes into her wedding day eager to say “I do,” and as she said, get a tan around her ring finger. As for Deonna, who has been single for years, she goes in excited but super nervous about whether or not she is Greg’s type. As for Gregory, he says he’s tried it all on his own to find love and things just haven’t worked, so he’s ready for help.

One thing all of the people have in common, woman or man, Black or white, is they’re all looking for someone to share their lives with.

In the trailer for the weddings there are tears, the happy kind, and straight-up fear on the faces of participants. Sounds pretty entertaining!

Married at First Sight returns on Wednesday, June 12 on Lifetime at 8 p.m. EST with the matchmaking special. The premiere episode for Season 9, where our couples meet and exchange vows, will air at 9 p.m.
