Wendy Williams Shuts Down Charity With Estranged Husband Kevin Hunter
When Wendy Williams was still in the woods, when rumors about her husband were circulating and Wendy announced that she was living in a sober house, she told her fans and viewers that she and her husband Kevin Hunter were launching The Hunter Foundation.
The aim was to address addiction in families and communities.
But shortly after that, Wendy filed for divorce. Since then, the couple has been severing ties personally and professionally. In addition to moving out of their family home and Wendy repossessing Kevin’s car, he’s also been removed as the executive producer of her talk show.
Personally, I was wondering if the two were going to continue their work with the Hunter Foundation.
Now, thanks to The Blast, we know the answer. Issa no.
Today, on her talk show, Wendy announced that she will be ending the Hunter foundation but “remains committed to helping others in the struggles of life.”
Williams said she would still focus on charities, though she didn’t give particular names.
Sources close to Kevin Hunter told The Blast that he’s worried about the people from the call center are going to lose their jobs as a result of Wendy stepping away from the foundation, including many who are recovering addicts themselves. He believes Wendy is attempting to distance herself from the addiction and substance abuse narrative.
As for now, the foundation is still taking calls but the workers have been told that the foundation is ending.
