Robyn Crawford, the woman who was allegedly involved in a love affair with the late, great Whitney Houston, is ready to tell her part of the story, People reports.
Robyn is set to release a tell-all memoir, detailing her relationship with the star amid decades of speculation.
“Since Whitney’s death in 2012, [her] trusted and loyal friend, Robyn Crawford, has stayed out of the limelight and held the great joys, wild adventures, and hard truths of her life with Whitney close to her heart,” reads the book’s press release.
The forthcoming book, titled, A Song for You, finally gave Crawford an opportunity to break “her silence” and “to share the moving and often complicated story of her life and relationship with Whitney.”
Crawford loyally served as Whitney’s executive assistant and friend for years.
Although it was rumored the women were more than just friends, never-before-seen details of their partnership were exposed in the latest documentary about the R&B legend’s life, Whitney.
While Crawford had nothing to do with the film, the director, Kevin Macdonald, said of the doc,“I hope the film expresses what I think is the truth,” continuing, “that they were romantically involved. As a teen, Whitney ran from her mother’s house into the arms of Robyn.”
The book is set to be, “deeply personal and heartfelt,” the press release states. “A Song for You is the vital, honest, and previously untold story that provides an understanding of the complex life of Whitney Houston. Finally, the person who knew her best sets the record straight.”
A Song for You will release on Nov. 5, 2019.
