If you loved Beyonce’s Netflix special, Homecoming, you’ll be happy to know that there are more to come. She has signed a three-project deal with the streaming giant that’s worth a whopping $60 million, Variety reports. Homecoming was the first of the projects and there are two more to come.
Bey was reportedly paid $20 million for the rights to Homecoming, an inside look at the hard work it took for Beyonce and her team to put together her headlining performance at Coachella last year. It was no easy task, considering that she had just had an emergency C-section to deliver her twins, Sir and Rumi Carter. Besides getting to watch the performance, which paid homage to historically black colleges, Yonce’ was vulnerable with her fans, talking about the weight gain during her pregnancy, the strict diet she committed to to prepare for Coachella, the regret of never going to a HBCU and balancing motherhood and months of rehearsal. The “7/11” singer was credited as executive producer, director and writer of the project.
Along with the Netflix doc came a 40-track album of the live performance that also featured two new songs, “I Been On” and a remake of Frankie Beverly’s “Before I Let Go.”
There’s no word on what the next two projects will be but the Beyhive will surely wait patiently .
