Many women fear never finding love again when a relationship comes to an end. In fact, it’s that fear that often keeps us from leaving a relationship that no longer serves us in the first place. Cynthia Bailey had somewhat similar thoughts after she divorced ex-husband Peter Thomas in 2017. Even though the Real Housewives of Atlanta star didn’t think she’d be alone forever, she certainly didn’t expect to find a love like the kind she’s found with her current partner Mike Hill. She told us when she came to our office:
“I was optimistic that I would meet someone after my divorce but I never thought I’d fall in love again. I just thought, ‘you know what, at my age, I’ll probably meet somebody.'” Still, Cynthia wasn’t sure how and where she’d come across a potential suitor at her age. “I’m 52, I don’t go to clubs anymore, I’m like, ‘Where am I going to meet somebody?'”
Steve Harvey turned out to be the link between Cynthia and Mike, but it was the reality star who had to choose to give the sportscaster a try.
“When I met him I had already decided to just be open, that when God brings it my way to just be open to meeting people,” the mother of one told us. “Mike is — this is the first time I’ve really had the absolute complete package.”
