Input Sought on Atlanta Schools Chief

(AJC) — Atlanta school board Chairman Khaatim Sherrer El said Wednesday he will announce a “citizen’s committee” in coming weeks and remained committed to involving the public as the board starts its search for a new superintendent.  The search itself will be overseen by a board-led task force, to which the citizen’s committee would report. The board is scheduled to meet Thursday and Friday in retreat and, among other topics, will talk about how the task force will work as well as what individual attributes they expect of their next leader.
