Scandal to Tradegy, 2010 Had it All
(Atlanta Voice) — Who knew that being mayor of a great metropolitan city could be classified as fun? First-time Mayor Kasim Reed, bringing his first year in office to a close, said his inaugural term in the mayor’s chair has been productive, exhilarating and, yes, even fun. He said he’s proud of the accomplishments of his administration, including balancing the budget, giving police officers and firefighters a raise without a property tax increase, selling City Hall East and bringing Walmart to the west side. Reed said he’s also established a good working relationship with the City Council, helped to change the culture at City Hall and improved delivery of some city services.
