(Washington Informer) — Today, Vincent C. Gray was sworn in as the sixth elected Mayor of the District of Columbia. As a native Washingtonian and a product of DC Public Schools, Mayor Gray is committed to the continued growth of the city. Mayor Gray’s inaugural address focused on the theme of “One City…Our City,” a vision that includes every Washingtonian working together to bring continued progress to DC, the place we call home.   “There is far more that brings us together than there is that drives us apart,” said Mayor Gray. “Our families want a fair shot at achieving the American dream, and creating a better future for our children. Our city has world-class resources and a dedicated workforce to make us economically competitive with any city in the world.”
