“Mind Your Business”: Wendy Seen With Husband After Alleged Mistress Gives Birth, Is Asked If She’s Going To See The Baby
One of the worst things about being in a relationship with an individual who is conducting themselves in a seriously questionable way is that, from time to time, you will likely be asked to explain it, or be confronted about their behavior. You might be called by a mistress. Have a leave-him-he’s-no-good-for-you intervention done on you by friends. Or, if you’re a well-known public figure, worst-case scenario, you’ll be asked on the street about what you’re going to do about the results of their alleged infidelity.
That’s what Wendy Williams was confronted with on Wednesday when she headed out of her Pilates class in NYC. Paparazzi for TMZ quizzed her about how she’s been doing, the fact that she is back to wearing her wedding ring in the streets (she took it off after news of husband Kevin Hunter’s mistress giving birth surfaced), and they even asked her about her commitment to the leopard Moncler puffer jacket she’s been wearing. But nothing stood out more than when the 54-year-old was asked if she was going to be “seeing the baby” anytime soon. She had no response as she climbed into the back of the white Benz she was being shuffled around town in:
Just as Williams is known for asking the hard questions, so are the paps.
According to Splash News, though Williams told photogs she was on the way to a book meeting, which could how the star finally opens up about what’s going on, she actually met up with Hunter. Williams entered a parking garage in Midtown and came out of it in a different car, riding along with her husband. The two exited the car in front of an office building, and when snapped by photogs (you can see an image of them together, here), a display of unity didn’t go as planned. As the photo descriptions read, “Kevin went to Grab Wendy’s hand, she winced, and pulled her hand away instead. Kevin yelled ‘Mind Your Business’ as he was asked about his newborn and his mistress.”
All of this follows Williams’ announcement on Wednesday that next week, she will be going on a “planned hiatus” from her show, less than a month after coming back from that extended hiatus that lasted from January 18 though her return on March 4.
She will be on break starting April 1.
“We have a planned break coming up next week. I know, but it’s planned, though! But we’re back with live shows April 8.”
As we shared earlier this week, Hunter’s alleged longtime mistress, Sharina Hudson, gave birth to a baby girl on Wednesday, March 20. Earlier this week, she was in the hospital with the child in Philadelphia. Williams has not spoken on this situation publicly, and is still in her sober house trying to maintain her sobriety, despite reports that she may have been taken to the hospital after Monday’s show taping and given a banana bag of fluids to help her sober up after being found drunk.
Ironically, as Us Weekly pointed out, in her 2001 memoir, Wendy’s Got the Heat, Williams talked about Hunter’s past infidelity. At the time, she said one of the only things that would make her walk away from her marriage was if her husband impregnated another woman.
“The only thing that would make me walk out for good is if he lied about anything – if he was in love, if she was just as successful at what she does as I am in my career, if she had his baby,” she wrote.
