Mel B. Wants Unsupervised Visits With Her Daughter
Mel B. is ready to have unsupervised visits with her daughter. Since last September Mel B. has been court ordered to have a nanny present during all of her visits with her daughter, Madison, whom she shares with her ex-husband Stephen Belafonte. Now that she has passed a series of drug tests, she feels the court should lift this order, The Blast reports.
According to court documents, the Spice Girls rep said she has “passed each and every one of the random drug and alcohol tests with flying colors.”
“I love Madison and I would never do anything to jeopardize her safety,” she said.
That’s not the only thing she wants, though. Mel B. also wants Belafonte to be sanctioned by the court for not submitting a child custody evaluation. She wants him to pay up $10,000.
Furthermore, The UK native wants her daughter to no longer see her therapist, Karin Manger. She reportedly feels like Manger “may have lost her objectivity as a mental health professional.” She said that at first Manger said that she felt Madison was being coached by her father regarding what to say in therapy and that his actions suggested emotional abuse. Manger later told Mel B. that her daughter was being negatively affected by their conflict. Court documents say that Mel feels that Manger “inappropriately entangled herself in this litigation.”
Mel B. and Belafonte will return to court in April.
