Now Post This On Your Blog! Michelle Williams Responds To Critics Of Chad Johnson Post
When Michelle Williams posted her ex-fiancé Chad Johnson on her Instagram page, to promote his Christian retreat, I doubt she thought it too would spur gossip about the nature of their relationship. But that’s what it did. It reminded folks of the messiness of their engagement and subsequent breakup.
And apparently, all of the opinions and comments about the relationship weren’t entirely positive. Because this week, Williams published a statement via her Instagram stories.
According to The Jasmine Brand, in an Instagram story that has since expired, Williams wrote:
“Social media really allows you to see how many people really need the love of Christ in their hearts. I don’t understand how people can make such cruel, uninformed, ignorant, dumb, immature comments about people and/or situations you know NOTHING about. I will admit, I truly made the mistake of opening up and showing the world parts of me that have been private for 20 years. At the same time, I know there are people that have been inspired by what I’ve shared BUT maaaan it sure takes a lot to sift through the horrible things people say. I love engaging with people but I can’t do that too much anymore. People don’t deserve YOU and that’s how I feel and I’m sticking to it! Now post this on your blog!! When I say people don’t deserve YOU, they don’t deserve all the parts of you that you’ve been so private about. I thought I was doing the right thing by sharing certain aspects of what I’ve gone through, the ups/down/good/bad. I’ve learned over the past few months that there is a time and a SAFE place to share whatever God has me to say! All I’ve ever desired was to be a blessing through my transparency and relationship but a lot of you guys aren’t in a place to receive it and be mature!! The hate and negative things that are the headlines from my “brothers and/or sisters” media sites is NOT cool. I’m still called to love you though <3”
