Single Awareness Week: A Week Of Content Dedicated To The Stories & Experiences Of Single Women
During the days leading up to Valentine’s Day, a fog of pink, red, flowers, balloons and chocolates wrapped in romance rolls in. This experience is both mental and physical. Tangibly, you see reminders of the holiday cluttering your path when you go to your local grocery store to run a few errands. You see restaurants advertising couple’s specials with signs hanging outside their windows. Your favorite massage spot is offering 2 for 1 rub downs for partnered folks and you’re texting your bestie to see if she wants to play house and cash in on the discount with you.
For the single woman, all of these visual reminders of not being in a relationship can be downright frustrating, if not painful. Of course, we know there are some women who are completely unfazed by this time–they dust February 14th off as a “made up” holiday and continue being the bad asses they are 365 days a year. But for others, the fanfare around this day can be a reminder of loneliness, unmet desires and unrequited love.
That’s why for the week of February 11-February 15, our relationships and love editor, Keyaira Kelly, has decided to deem this week: Single Awareness Week!
Be on the lookout for amazing content about throwing the perfect Galentine’s Day party for you and your besties, some tips on solo love making, advice on how to move on to healing if your heart is broken, and more.
PLUS, we’ve partnered with Dove® to giveaway a pampering package to a couple of our lucky readers! Click on this link and enter your email for a chance to win all of this:
