MN takes you behind the scenes for the red carpet premiere of “What Men Want” starring Taraji P. Henson & Tracy Morgan. This hilarious comedy follows sports agent Ali (played by Taraji) who receives the gift(or curse) of hearing men’s thoughts in order to excel professionally.  We asked the stars what is the most important lesson they have learned from their significant other–in the spirit of men learning from women, and women learning from men.

Taraji explained that she learned from her fiancé, Kelvin Hayden, is that “men are pretty fragile like we are. And we should handle them with care.”

Film producer Will Packer told MN that he believes men have the desire to do better, and finds a lot of his inspiration in his life partner, Heather.

“I think men want to learn, I hope. At the end of the day, men are simple creatures. What you think men want, that’s what they want. I’m glad this gift doesn’t actually exist, because it’s dark in there when you’re talking about the mind of a man,” Packer told MN jokingly.

“I think for me and the men that I know, we really are just trying to please women that matter to us.”

When asked what’s the most important lesson he’s learned from his wife, of three years, Packer gushed about the power of his partner’s faith.

“She is someone who always pushes me to not talk about what could happen or and not talk about what I hope would happen but claim it as already happening,” he explained.

Continuing, “She has taught me that I can actually help to manifest success in my life if I speak it into existence.”

His wife, continued by describing how important his support is to her.

“Oh wow. So much. He’s such a go-getter, such a goal setter. I give him the support he needs, but he also supports my needs…his tenacity. His spirit.”
