She’s A Stunna: Rihanna Shows Us How To Reimagine A Bold Lip Beat
Rihanna was spotted leaving dinner at Kappo Masa Japanese restaurant in New York City. The Fenty Beauty mogul looked elegant wearing an all cream ensemble. She wore an oversized cream blazer paired with what seems to be some kind of silk dress, making it look like a blazer and skirt combo. She stepped out with short, wavy, hair. However, what really stood out about her look was her makeup. Her effortless beat featured a bold red lip, but what was great about the look was the minimal metallic eye makeup, allowing the lip to truly be the focus.
You don’t need a lot of products to recreate this subtle yet glam look. Start with your favorite primer. I’ve been obsessed with VDL Lumilayer Primer ($26.00, Beautylish.com), a Korean cult classic. Your primer is essential to help your makeup lay properly. Apply your favorite foundation, Rihanna’s skin is looking velvety here, so try Col Lab Meet Your Matte (14.99, SallyBeauty.com). Afterward, apply concealer under your eyes and feel free to bake to give your face some depth, just be sure to blend!
After you set your face and have an even tone, now it’s time for the eyes. Since you are going to go for a strong lip, you don’t have to be over the top with your eye. Rihanna went for a sexy cat eye, her liner is poppin’ and while we can’t confirm, we are pretty sure it’s Fenty Beauty Flyliner Longwear Liquid Eyeliner ($20.00, Sephora.com). Even if it’s not, as someone who uses Flyliner, it will give you the same bold, sharp, look. For the shadow, you are going to need a metallic gold and a metallic red to get this look. Every beauty should own a metallic palette for a night out and I love Urban Decay Aphrodisiac Eyeshadow Palette ($29.00, UrbanDecay.com). This palette is one of my go-to’s and the ‘Addict’ color will really help you smoke out the corners like Rihanna did.
Now its time for the lip! RiRi is out here stuntin’ and it looks like she’s wearing Fenty Beauty Stunna in Uncensored ($24.00, FentyBeauty.com). If you don’t have over $20.00 to spend on a lip, try this affordable, red matte lip by Milani in Devotion ($7.99, Target.com).
