Gregg Leakes’ cancer battle has raised a lot of issues. It reminded him of his vulnerability as a man, allowed him to discuss health issues in the Black community and brought him closer to his wife. And while this traumatic experience has changed their relationship, it hasn’t always been for the better.

Months ago, NeNe shared that Gregg’s cancer battle had made him “mean, grouchy and evil.”

She wrote, “I would just think if I have or had cancer, I would see life so differently! Not being mean, grouchy and evil for no reason! But that’s me. Pray for me.”

Later, NeNe said that when people think about how cancer affects families, they don’t consider the stress caretakers endure.

At the time, Gregg didn’t respond to the comments. But in a recent Instagram post, he basically cosigned his wife’s words. And while he didn’t provide specifics about how he’s been behaving poorly while fighting this cancer, he vowed to do better.

In another post, he apologized to some of the medical professionals who’ve been working with him as well.
