“I Have Learned And Grown” Touré Responds To Sexual Harassment Allegations
Yesterday, we reported that music journalist Touré had been accused of sexually harassing a makeup artist on the job. The artist, who goes by the name Danimakeup on Instagram said that Touré constantly asked her about anal sex, what she looked like naked and her sexual habits outside of work.
Dani reported Touré actions to Human Resources and he was immediately fired. Afterward, Touré sent her several Instagram direct messages apologizing for his behavior.
When the article was published, Touré had yet to say anything. But since then, he’s broken his silence.
“On the show, our team, including myself, engaged in edgy, crass banter, that at the time I did not think was offensive for our tight-knit group. I am sorry for my language and for making her feel uncomfortable in any way. As a lead on the show, I should have refrained from this behavior. I have learned and grown from this experience.”
Coincidentally, Terry Crews was supposed to be sitting down with Touré to discuss his journey toward career success.
But Crews, who has been very vocal about his own sexual assault, announced that he would not be appearing on the show.
In response to Touré’s apology, which did little in terms of accountability, Dani offered this response on her Instagram stories.
“Does anyone’s [sic] go to work and have their coworker ask about their asshole?
If you shave or wax your vagina?
…if you like anal…and suggest they try it with him?
…have a man 2 inches from your face say how much he wants to cum all over your face?
Anyone tell you “you must of had sex behind bc your ass looks good.
…that your legs are sexy and tease you by pretending to grab them…while you’re doing your job?
If you like black or white dick?
during touch ups when you mumbled under you’re breath how sexy I am? Crass?!!!
He was not liked, he was tolerated for everyone to get paid. PERIOD.”
